Is VIVOBAREFOOT's Wool Mulesing Free?

VIVOBAREFOOT have been partners with Woolmark since 2019. Woolmark are considered the global authority on merino wool, pioneering collaboration between Australian woolgrowers and global organisations. Whilst VIVOBAREFOOT are 100% committed to reaching full transparency of our value chain as soon as possible, we like many others across the industry don’t yet have full visibility of each farm that provides our merino wool. It is this transparency challenge coupled with wool growers in Australia sometimes requiring medical intervention to tackle fly strike within their herds (in alignment with the Australian 5 Animal Welfare Domains), that means we are currently unable to confirm that our wool is entirely mulesing free.

VIVOBAREFOOT takes animal welfare extremely seriously and continues to partner with Woolmark and Australian wool growers in order to support their research into fly strike innovations that may enable a significant future reduction in medical interventions across the Australian wool supply chain.
