Our leather is sourced by a select group of trusted tannery partners across Thailand and Europe (for cow & sheep leather), and Namibia (for eland leather). We're very picky about the tannery partners we work with, all of whom work to the highest levels of manufacturing practice and where feasible, are certified to international Leather Working Group standards.
The majority of our cattle leather hides come from free-roaming cattle raised by small-scale farmers in rural Thailand (we call this Wild Hide), which we can trace back to regional farm level. We can trace our Namibia leathers to regional level. However, we don’t yet have full traceability of the remaining hides coming from Europe. We’re working hard with our tannery partners to close this gap and are committed to 100% transparency of all our leather materials as soon possible. We have Vivo team members on the ground working directly with our partners to consistently drive improvements across our material sourcing and manufacturing processes.
