VIVOBAREFOOT conduct full legal compliance chemical testing across materials and finished products, which test for all legally regulated hazardous chemicals of concern. PFC's and PFOA's are usually found within waterproofing/water resistance coatings and treatments and are not currently a legally regulated hazardous chemical of concern. 

However, from January 1st 2025, a bill in California comes into place to prohibit any organisation from manufacturing, distributing, selling, or offering for sale any new textile articles that contain regulated PFC’s and/or PFOA’s. In order to prepare for this new legislation in California, VIVOBAREFOOT have been conducting voluntary chemical testing across high-risk product and materials and have been working with our value chain partners to ensure PFC & PFA elimination is achieved in full, not just for our US products, but across all products we manufacture by January 1st 2025.
