We offer a wide range of footwear, and each style offers a different level of protection from the elements. Some are fully waterproof, some are water-resistant, and others are designed primarily for breathability and everyday wear.
Many of our leather styles, while not officially marketed as waterproof, naturally provide a strong level of water protection. Leather is an excellent barrier against the elements, but like all natural materials, it needs care. Over time it can dry out, which reduces its ability to repel moisture. Using a leather conditioner such as Renapur, or any high-quality leather nourishment, helps keep the material supple, healthy, and far better equipped to keep water out.
This applies to styles including (but not limited to) the Trackers, Magnas, Desert Esc, Gobi Boot and the Sensus Chelsea.
For our non-leather styles, such as the Primus Trail All Weather, the mesh and upper materials are treated to offer water resistance. These shoes are designed to handle light rain and damp conditions while maintaining breathability, though they will not behave exactly like a full leather upper.
It is also worth noting that real-world conditions can influence how protected your feet feel. For example, you may stay dry standing in a puddle for an hour, yet walking through wet grass for just a few minutes could lead to dampness. This happens because moisture can transfer onto and through the upper materials more quickly when they are in constant contact with wet surfaces.
